Industrial wind projects in Vermont

In addition to the existing 6-megawatt (MW) facility in Searsburg, two sites for 70 MW have been approved by the state and five sites are in active development for up 163 MW of giant wind turbines. Fifty-seven towns are potentially affected. The average output (ignoring the nondispatchable fluctuations) of all of these would equal that of the McNeil plants in Burlington.
